NBC has announced they’ve decided to stick with Chuck for another season! Woohoo! Whatsmore, it was reported that NBC liked the direction Chuck was heading so much that, not only did they decide to pick up the rest of season four (they initially only ordered thirteen episodes of the season, leaving the back nine uncertain), they decided to add two more episodes to the season. This makes season four a 24-episode season; this is the most amount of Chuck we’ve ever gotten in a season! This is great news for us Chuck fans!
Still, we can’t relax too much yet. Just to make sure that we get a fifth season, a sixth season, and so on, don’t forget to support Chuck anyway you can. We hear ratings have been steady, but not as good as they can be to ensure Chuck stays on TV in the United States. So if you are a Chuck fan, even just a mediocre one, help promote the series. Spread the word and get more people to watch Chuck. For example, if you have a Twitter account, follow ChuckMeMondays and help promote the series every Monday (Tuesday morning & afternoon for us in NZ), as this is when Chuck is aired in the United States; and if you’re a Neilsen family (a group of people the Neilsen Company study TV viewing behaviour), make sure you turn on your TVs before the show comes on, watch the show live, and don’t skip any advertisements or switch off before the episode has finished rolling credits: because not doing the aforementioned things will result in your support not being counted in the ratings. Hopefully, our efforts and support will convince NBC to pick up a full season from the beginning instead of picking up only half each time.
A couple of more things on Chuck. Go to TV Guide Magazine and vote for Chuck to be on the cover of the next TV Guide Magazine (US). Apparently, Chuck’s never been on the cover of one. The voting runs through November 1st, so get clicking and help Chuck get on it. Promote, promote, promote!
And finally, support Zachary Levi and his company: thenerdmachine.com. He’s started up a new company which sells all things nerd. If you’ve ever wondered where to get one of those cool NERD shirts you see him wearing during his public appearances, this is the place to get one.
Okay, that’s all!
…CHUCK, CHUCK, CHUCK!
Okay, this time we’re really signing off. Till next post!
