The last time we did a favourite actors and actresses list was five years ago. Since then we\u2019ve discovered so many more awesome actors and actresses so we thought we seriously need to do an update to our list!<\/p>\n

A few actors\/actresses who were previously on our \u201cOn our Radar\u201d list moved up to our new category, \u201cActors and Actress Who Don\u2019t Disappoint\u201d.<\/p>\n

Accompanying a couple Korean actors\/actresses, \u201cOn Our Radar\u201d list now includes a few more Chinese actors! Since we wrote our first list five years ago, so many more Chinese dramas are catching attention and because of this we are discovering more and more awesome Chinese actors and actresses who makes us excited to see what their next project might be.<\/p>\n

Our \u201cStaples\u201d list have become a list of actors and actresses we remain loyal to despite not really coming across any new projects which captured our attention. No matter what the project is, we will give it a go.<\/p>\n

Below is our list of favourite actors and actresses right now:<\/p>\n

ACTORS AND ACTRESSES WHO DON\u2019T DISAPPOINT!<\/h2>\n

The following actors and one actress whose dramas we found we can bank on almost every drama they\u2019re in, like 99.99% of the time : oD : oD. There have been occasions the drama doesn\u2019t quite hit the spot, but on the whole their dramas more often than not entertain.<\/p>\n

Lee Joon Gi<\/h3>\n

Our favourite dramas from Lee Joon Gi are Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo (2016) and Iljimae (2008), but also love Arang and the Magistrate (2012), Scholar Who Walks the Night (2015) and Gunman in Joseon (2014). Lee Joon Gi is King of Segeuk dramas for us!<\/p>\n

Ji Chang Wook<\/h3>\n

Our favourite dramas from Ji Chang Wook are Empress Ki (2013 – 2014), Whirlwind Girl 2 (2016)<\/a>, Healer (2013 – 2014)<\/a>, but really enjoyed Ji Chang Wook in The K2 (2016)<\/a> and Suspicious Partner (2017). Can not wait for his upcoming drama, Backstreet Rookie (2020)!<\/p>\n

Park Seo Joon<\/h3>\n

Our favourite dramas from Park Seo Joon are She Was Pretty (2015)<\/a> and Fight for My Way (2017), but really enjoyed Park Seo Joon in Kill Me Heal Me (2015)<\/a> and Secretary Kim.<\/p>\n

Joo Won<\/h3>\n

Our favourite dramas from Joo Won are Good Doctor (2013) and Naeil Cantabile (2014)<\/a>, but love Joo Won in Kim Tak Gu Master Baker (2010) and Yong Pal (2015)<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Kim Soo Hyun<\/h3>\n

Our favourite dramas from Kim Soo Hyun are Dream High (2011), The Producers (2015)<\/a> and Moon Embracing the Sun (2012), and enjoyed Kim Soo Hyun in My Love From The Stars (2013 – 2014). Love his cameo in Hotel Del Luna (2019) and Crash Landing on You (2019 – 2020)! What a great surprise! We will be looking out for his first drama since returning from the military, It’s Okay to Not Be Okay (2020) which airs in June.<\/p>\n

Tan Song Yun<\/h3>\n

Our favourite dramas from Tan Song Yun are Under the Power (2019 – 2020) and The Fox\u2019s Summer (2017)<\/a>, and love seeing her as part of the supporting cast in Whirlwind Girl (2015) and Whirlwind Girl 2 (2016)<\/a>.<\/p>\n

ON OUR RADAR!<\/h2>\n

Yang Yang<\/h3>\n

\"Favourite<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

We can almost hear Yang Yang fans give us a chorus of \u201cWhat?! Why is Yang Yang in this category?\u201d Yang Yang is no newcomer. He has been in really popular dramas for years already, like The Four (2015)<\/a>, The Whirlwind Girl (2015) and Love O2O (2016), but it\u2019s only last year we hopped on the potential fan bandwagon after watching him in The Whirlwind Girl. The Whirlwind Girl isn\u2019t our first drama with Yang Yang in it. We first came across Yang Yang five years ago in The Four. We really enjoyed The Four and liked his character, Heartless, too. So, we went on to watch Love O2O the next year to find the drama was just okay, and haven\u2019t watched any dramas of his until deciding to watch The Whirlwind Girl (2015) last year after watching Whirlwind Girl 2 (2016)<\/a>. As we said already, we loved Yang Yang in that! So, now we will be keeping an eye out for his new dramas.<\/p>\n

Ren Jia Lun<\/h3>\n

We discovered Ren Jia Lun through Under the Power (2019 – 2020) and we just love the actor in this drama. He plays the Embroidered Guard, Lu Yi, in the drama investigating cases with his assistant Constable Yuan Jin Xia (played by Tan Song Yun). He has some past drama which don\u2019t appear to be the kind of genre we watch, but still, he has this really interesting, deciphering stare in Under the Power that makes us stare at the screen, so we will be on the watch for any upcoming dramas he\u2019s in!<\/p>\n

Xiao Zhan<\/h3>\n

\"Favourite<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

It\u2019s going to take us a while to stop browsing Pinterest and watching YouTube videos of Xiao Zhan thanks to his role as Wei Wuxian in the very popular Chinese drama The Untamed (2019)<\/a>. We just love his character so much it got us searching him up, clicking Xiao Zhan\/The Untamed content that appear on our feeds! Fun fact: the actor has a very lovely singing voice, too. He is one of the vocalists behind The Untamed main theme song. We will be watching out for his next dramas and hope to hear more singing projects!<\/p>\n

Yoon Doo Joon<\/h3>\n

The last drama we watched from Yoon Doo Joon is \u201cLet\u2019s Eat 3<\/a>\u201d. With his return from the military this year, we will be waiting with hope and anticipation he will do another Let\u2019s Eat project. We remember thinking how long two years is to wait for Yoon Doo Joon to return so he could maybe do a Let\u2019s Eat 4. Two years finally passed. Yoon Doo Joon is finally back from the military! Hopefully, there will be a Let\u2019s Eat 4 and he will reprise his role in the series and it will continue the story Let\u2019s Eat 3 left off!<\/p>\n

Im Soo Hyang<\/h3>\n

We first saw her in Inspiring Generation (2014) but she didn\u2019t really catch our attention until My ID is Gangnam Beauty (2018)<\/a> and then again in Graceful Family (2019). We will be keeping an eye out on what her next drama will be.<\/p>\n

STAPLES!<\/h2>\n

We are forever loyal to this group of actors\/actresses even if we\u2019ve not come across any new projects which has caught our attention. Their earlier dramas remain addictive and\/or classics. So, even if they don\u2019t come out with a drama that catch us, we will be happy to watch over and over again their earlier dramas like the first time we saw them, excited and with anticipation.<\/p>\n

Joe Cheng<\/h3>\n

Our favourite drama from Joe Cheng are It Started with a Kiss (2005)<\/a>. Joe Cheng appears to have moved to Chinese productions since the last drama we watched from him which is Singles Villa (2015). We\u2019ve started fantasy drama L.O.R.D Critical World (2019) and for the time being are putting it on hold. The mythical creatures and CGI are not to our tastes, but we may return to it because the story has potential. Ni Hao Qiao An 2 (2019), comedy romance drama set in the business world, is more up our alley. We aim to watch!<\/p>\n

Wu Kang Ren<\/h3>\n
