It’s the whole truth and nothing but the truth with Hong Shim which makes Won Deuk think he’s just someone she used to overcome her predicament with needing to marry because of the Crown Prince’s orders and not become Park Sun Do’s concubine.<\/p>\n
Love how the drama has Hong Shim takes control of getting Won Deuk to learn about the deception and lie. It save us from worrying about how he’ll react when he finds out some other way, but then again, there\u2019s still the matter of his father having killed her father to take the throne.<\/p>\n
<\/a><\/div>\n<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\nSeok Ha’s wounded from an arrow that was supposedly meant for the Crown Princess at the end of Episode 8<\/a>. The Crown Princess comes by to see him whilst he recovers from his non-critical injury. The relationship between Seok Ha and Crown Princess is looking suspicious in the sense there’s something going on between them.<\/p>\n Hong Shim\u2019s dad explains to Won Deuk the deception was not Hong Shim’s fault before taking Won Deuk to the place he found him. Won Deuk wants to know what else he found that might give him a clue to who he is. Hong Shim\u2019s dad tells Won Deuk truthfully he doesn\u2019t want Won Deuk to recover his memory. And so, Hong Shim\u2019s dad doesn\u2019t let him know about the clothing he buried. It\u2019s not simply wanting him to stay by Hong Shim\u2019s side. It\u2019s to protect Won Deuk, too. He tells him, just like Hong Shim who\u2019s supposed to be dead after her family was falsely accused of a crime, Won Deuk was meant to be dead. But, he saved him, because just like how he couldn\u2019t let Hong Shim die, he couldn\u2019t let him die.<\/p>\n Won Deuk doesn\u2019t get much in relation to who he is from Hong Shim\u2019s dad, but as he wanders around the place his assassination took place, he flashes on an arrow coming towards him and guards in the distance.<\/p>\n Hong Shim describes Won Deuk as \u2018strong\u2019 when Kkyeut Nyeo asks her what Won Deuk is like. She tells her friend that Won Deuk is so strong, she keeps depending on him. When Kkyeut Nyeo starts talking about a future where if the two had children\u2014Kkyeut Nyeo birthing a girl with Gu Dol, and Hong Shim birthing a boy with Won Deuk\u2014they could marry them off together, Hong Shim starts crying. Hong Shim is really worried and sad about losing Won Deuk over her deception.<\/p>\n The tears has Hong Shim finally let Kkyeut Nyeo learn about the truth about her and Won Deuk which has Kkyeut Nyeo try to cheer her up by pushing Hong Shim into the water the two friends had been near.<\/p>\n Won Deuk happens to pass by then and sees Hong Shim smiling and playing cheerfully in the water, like she wasn\u2019t just sad and down about lying and deceiving him.<\/p>\n Won Deuk checks to see how much Hong Shim lied to him. Did she lie about him falling in love with her and proposing to her under a cherry tree? Yes, she says. If only they knew how true it actually is. Won Deuk may not have fallen in love with her and proposed to her, but Lee Yul did.<\/p>\n He asks who the man in her stories was. Was it the real Won Deuk? Hong Shim tells him \u201cNo\u201d. It was all made up. He asks if the night at the watermill happen. Hong Shim tells him they never even met because he joined the army.<\/p>\n With all this clarified, Won Deuk seems satisfied. All he cared about was that she didn\u2019t have another man in her heart.<\/p>\n Hong Shim and Won Deuk get into talking about looks and how Hong Shim doesn\u2019t care about looks as the heart is what matters. \u201cWon Deuk is a sorry sight,\u201d Won Deuk casually says about the real Won Deuk. This comment gets Hong Shim defending the guy and how looks isn\u2019t important as the heart, and that she doesn\u2019t care about looks. Gazing directly at Hong Shim, Won Deuk scoffs before asking if that was really the truth. She confidently nods, but as she stares at Won Deuk, Hong Shim changes her answer. Looks isn’t completely unimportant, she says. Yes, Won Deuk is handsome, and not even independent, unshallow, Hong Shim can reject handsome. : oD : oD<\/p>\n Won Deuk is annoyed because his marriage was ruined because of her lies, and wants her to compensate. Won Deuk gets Hong Shim to think of a name which he be, ending up in Hong Shim falling asleep on his shoulders. It probably took everything him to push her off him when he wants her so much, but he does it. He wakes her and tells her to go to her room to sleep before doing a few squats to rid some of that energy in him.<\/p>\n Joon Jae Yoon intercepts the disposal of Crown Prince\u2019s closest person, Eunuch Yang. He\u2019s still alive, but unconscious while Jung Jae Yoon has a physician treat him.<\/p>\n Won Deuk\u2019s assassin appears in his dreams and it has him thinking this man might be the same person as the one who shot the arrow in the barley fields. In order to decide he will stay with Hong Shim, he decides he must figure out who he is. We might be wrong, but Won Deuk could be worried about him bringing harm to Hong Shim. On Mount Chunwoo with Hong Shim\u2019s dad, he mentioned that he could be a criminal for all they know. Hong Shim\u2019s dad says he\u2019s pretty good judge of character, but even so, he doesn\u2019t care about his past. He wants him to stay as Won Deuk and be his son-in-law.<\/p>\n Jung Jae Yoon arrives in Songjoo Village as the new magistrate with a run in with Hong Shim on a horse she\u2019s attempting to ride and return to the nobleman Won Deuk took from to save Hong Shim when she was kidnapped in Episode 6<\/a>\/Episode 7<\/a>. With Hong Shim\u2019s braid undone (in other words, still unmarried and single), Jung Jae Yoon smiles as he sees marriage on the cards for him soon. In other words, he\u2019ll be pursuing her and looking to marry Hong Shim. Hong Shim does tell him she\u2019s married, but he thinks she\u2019s just saying it to push him away. He\u2019ll be so shocked, so disappointed (and is shocked and disappointed) when he finds out Hong Shim\u2019s telling him the truth later at the magistrate\u2019s office with her braid back in a bun.<\/p>\n Won Deuk\u2019s at the magistrate\u2019s office wanting to take a look around the Magistrate Office Library. He\u2019s refused access by Park Bok Eun, but manages to get in to read records in the day he was delivering water in Mount Chunwoo when Park Bok Eun is preoccupied with showing Jung Jae Yoon around.<\/p>\n Jung Jae Yoon actually catches Won Deuk whilst he\u2019s being shown around in the library, but he doesn\u2019t expose Won Deuk. Jung Jae Yoon just catches up with Won Deuk at the main door to the magistrate office, wanting to know what Won Deuk was doing there. It\u2019s a scene which shows Jung Jae Yoon\u2019s inability to recognize faces. With the two having met and spoken together, Jung Jae Yoon should have instantly recognised him as the Crown Prince, but he doesn\u2019t.<\/p>\n None the wiser, Won Deuk is called to the magistrate’s office by Jung Jae Yoon to receive his reward from the King for his involvement in uncovering the corruption of the former magistrate Jo Boo Young.<\/p>\n Won Deuk sets off towards Hanyang after returning from the magistrate\u2019s office with enough rolls of silk to pay of the whole debt he owes. The departure, though only a trip to deliver the village\u2019s offerings to the King, has Hong Shim sure he won\u2019t be returning.<\/p>\n Whilst in Hanyang, a bit of Won Deuk\u2019s memory appears. He can tell he and his people aren\u2019t far from the palace when in Hanyang. Inside the palace, his eyes catch onto the guards and their swords (he seems to recognise the swords) and almost gets into a bit of trouble with them when he tries following them. Luckily, Gu Dol shows up in time before anything became an issue. Won Deuk does expose himself a little when the Vice Premier\u2019s son spots him. He\u2019s not sure of his eyes are playing tricks on him. The Vice Premier and Won Deuk also cross paths, but luckily Won Deuk isn\u2019t spotted as the Vice Premier is too busy reading a letter to see Won Deuk\/the Crown Prince just passed him!<\/p>\n Seok Ha learns from the Vice Premier\u2019s son of his sighting of someone who looks uncannily like the Crown Prince. Seok Ha\u2019s off wandering the streets in his injured condition to see Won Deuk in Hanyang and starts tailing him. Won Deuk\u2019s not unaware and leads him into the dark forest where Won Deuk outfights Seok Ha very easily. With a sword pointed at Seok Ha, Won Deuk demands Seok Ha tell him his (as in Won Deuk\u2019s) identity. (Will he tell? Not yet. Seok Ha\u2019s response in Episode 10.)<\/p>\n Jung Jae Yoon is introduced to village and gains the approval of the villagers when he introduces himself as a child to a concubine so they are no different to him. He wants them to come to him with their problems. He comes off as friendlier, approachable than the past magistrate who\u2019s on their side until they\u2019re made to fill Park Sun Do\u2019s well with water.<\/p>\n Jung Jae Yoon is trying to get on the good side of Park Sun Do for his investigations it seems, but it\u2019s getting misunderstood as another person trying to climb the ladder.<\/p>\n Hong Shim isn\u2019t impressed. She teaches Jung Jae Yoon a lesson by tricking him into falling into a hole. She tells him he can dig himself out with a twig, which, just like filling the well with water, is an impossible task no matter how hard he tries. But, he made the villagers do the impossible task anyway. He even told them that hard work can help achieve anything. Let\u2019s see if hard work gets him out of his hole.<\/p>\n The Queen has her court ladies start a rumour that is not that much a rumour at all. She wants them to spread that the Crown Princess\u2019 baby isn\u2019t the Crown Prince’s.
