In his need to see Li Hui Zhen\u2019s condition, he steps through tape roping off the accident, pushes through one policeman at the cones and removes another policeman trying to do his work at the wrecked red car that looks so much like the one Li Hui Zhen drove. He demands to know where she is upon not seeing her inside the car.<\/p>\n
Li Hui Zhen isn’t in the car or the ambulance which Bai Hao Yu\u2019s seen trying to peer through aster which had him calling her name when it began to drive away. That\u2019s when his sight catches Li Hui Zhen walking towards him holding an umbrella, wondering why Bai Hao Yu had come.<\/p>\n
Bai Hao Yu doesn’t give her an answer and pulls her into his arms and hugging her tightly before giving her a scolding:<\/p>\n
Bai Hao Yu:<\/p>\n
\u201cWhat can you do right? You even take the wrong car keys. What would you do if something really happened? What would I do?\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
Seeing Bai Hao Yu so distraught, she thinks it’s because he\u2019s driven in the rain and has lost control of his emotions again. Times like these, she\u2019d get out her phone and play him the classical track that brings him back to his senses, but her phone battery is flat.<\/p>\n
Li Hui Zhen start to panic and she, too, ends up losing control of her emotions. She shouts at him after her many questions wanting to know what was wrong with him, why he was making himself drive through the rain, whether he was okay, all go unanswered. It has her shout at him in the same tone he used, demanding he answer her.<\/p>\n
He didn’t notice, he tells her. All he could think about was her. Following this response, Li Hui Zhen hugs Bai Hao Yu, like he did when he got confirmation she was all right.<\/p>\n
<\/a><\/div>\n<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\nLin Yi Mu\u2019s dash to the accident scene didn’t end as well. Lin Yi Mu looks to have suffered quite an accident judging by the scrapes to his face and arm\u2014the one on his arm looking very bloody. His motorbike which lay on its side suggest a lost of control.<\/p>\n
To add to his physical injuries, he suffers emotional injuries, too as he arrives just in time to see Li Hui Zhen and Bai Hao Yu hugging each other. Li Hui Zhen hugging Bai Hao Yu probably isn’t what he’s focusing on. The fact that Bai Hao Yu\u2019s there in the first place shows just how much he cares for Li Hui Zhen.<\/p>\n
<\/a><\/div>\n<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\nIt has Lin Yi Mu realise just how one-sided his love is for Li Hui Zhen:<\/p>\n
Lin Yi Mu:<\/p>\n
\u201cLife\u2026 is really ironic. Actually, Li Hui Zhen and I are the same. I love her. She loves Bai Hao Yu. We both fell into the river of love. The only difference is I\u2019m the only one drowning.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
He says this to Xia Qiao\u2014who somehow ends up going to his side at the hospital. His love for Li Hui Zhen won’t be reciprocated, but judging from the latest development that took place on the highway, Li Hui Zhen’s love will.<\/p>\n
Lin Yi Mu:<\/p>\n
\u201cYou really can’t relax a single moment in life. Plans can never catch up to change.\u201d<\/p>\n
No matter what, you must tell Bai Hao Yu the truth that you\u2019re not Li Hui Zhen. This will be the best for you all, understand?\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
While Xia Qiao is there with him, he reminds Xia Qiao to tell Bai Hao Yu the truth about herself and not put it off any longer as the latest incident seems to have him realise that plans never catch up to change.<\/p>\n
As it happens, these words are a forewarning of what’s coming. Time for Xia Qiao to own up to her act before being exposed actually runs out by the end of the episode. Time has been running out ever since Bai Hao Yu started acknowledging his heart as being with Li Hui Zhen several episodes ago. This acknowledgement of his heart and his move to express\u2014what is now clear\u2014his feeling for Li Hui Zhen is what leads to Xia Qiao\u2019s act being exposed. However, the person who discovers her act isn’t Bai Hao Yu, but Li Hui Zhen.<\/p>\n
But until then, as long as Bai Hao Yu is unable to express his feelings to Li Hui Zhen, Xia Qiao\u2019s secret is still safe.<\/p>\n
<\/a><\/div>\n<\/a><\/div>\n<\/a><\/div>\n<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\nThis expressing of feelings continues to be a bit of a task for Bai Hao Yu the next morning. Lin Yi Mu\u2019s no longer showing up and interrupting him. Li Hui Zhen\u2019s now doing her best not to stay in his presence for too long.<\/p>\n
Li Hui Zhen\u2019s reason for wanting to avoid Bai Hao Yu is not only because of the incident on the highway, but she’s not so sure about whether letting Bai Hao Yu know about her true identity is the right thing now. What\u2019s more, even if she wanted to tell him everything, she doesn’t know how to anymore.<\/p>\n
Bai Hao Yu:<\/p>\n
\u201cI didn’t sleep too well last night. I kept thinking about what happened between us. I have something I want to tell you. Actually, I wanted to tell you a long time ago.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
His efforts to get Li Hui Zhen to sit down with him at a cafe, enjoy an order of tea and talk about the night before with the intention of leading into his feelings causes Li Hui Zhen to feel awkward and wanting to escape.<\/p>\n
<\/a><\/div>\n<\/a><\/div>\n<\/a><\/div>\n<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\nLi Hui Zhen:<\/p>\n
\u201cYi Mu!\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
Fortunately, Lin Yi Mu happens to be at the caf\u00e9, allowing her the opportunity to stop the subject from being brought up and escape Bai Hao Yu to go to Lin Yi Mu. (Notice the lack of surname in her address of Lin Yi Mu? This insert, we like!)<\/p>\n
Li Hui Zhen:<\/p>\n
\u201cWe were sitting over there, not knowing what to say. I looked at him and felt really awkward.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cFortunately you came. Really.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
For the first time ever, Lin Yi Mu\u2019s presence is regarded by Li Hui Zhen as a huge welcome.\u00a0
\nIn the past it was always Lin Yi Mu forcing himself between Li Hui Zhen and Bai Hao Yu and Lin Yi Mu making Li Hui Zhen go with him.<\/p>\n
Another first, Bai Hao Yu eventually being ditched. In order to avoid going back to Bai Hao Yu, Li Hui Zhen offers to pay Lin Yi Mu back with ten shouts after asking Lin Yi Mu to pretend to laugh with her. Hearing Li Hui Zhen was willing to treat Lin Yi Mu ten times, he obliges. Then, Li Hui Zhen starts walking towards the exit with Lin Yi Mu. She only turns back to announce her departure to Bai Hao Yu just before the exit.<\/p>\n
Bai Hao Yu avoided and ditched.<\/p>\n
<\/a><\/div>\n<\/a><\/div>\n<\/a><\/div>\n<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\nLi Hui Zhen:<\/p>\n
\u201cHow did you get hurt? I came across a medical record on your desk. It said you had to visit the hospital every three days for medication. You can’t eat spicy food and you can’t allow the wound to touch water.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
Lin Yi Mu gets quite a bit of love from the writers from this point till the end of the episode. Following the ditching of Bai Hao Yu, Li Hui Zhen makes it her mission to find out how he injured himself so seriously. This has Li Hui Zhen chasing after Lin Yi Mu for the first time. She waits to see him. She treats him lunch. She even submits to his request to feed him his lunch after a few tries of asking her to feed him.<\/p>\n
Lin Yi Mu:<\/p>\n
\u201cI slipped in the bathroom last night.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
Despite Li Hui Zhen’s efforts at the restaurant, Lin Yi Mu won’t tell her the truth. He maintains the reason he gave her when she first asked about it in the morning: he fell in the bathroom.<\/p>\n
Li Hui Zhen won’t accept the explanation. A simple slip in the bathroom doesn’t result in scrapes to the right side of the face and left side of the arm.<\/p>\n
<\/a><\/div>\n<\/a><\/div>\n<\/a><\/div>\n<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\nOn their way back to the office after finishing their meals, Li Hui Zhen tells Lin Yi Mu she\u2019d not move a single step more until he tells her what really happened. This has Lin Yi Mu finally submit and tells her. He only tells her the part about having fallen off of his motorbike and not the part about having fallen because he was rushing to be by her side because he was worried she\u2019d been in a car accident.<\/p>\n
Hearing that Lin Yi Mu\u2019s injuries was because of his motorbike, Li Hui Zhen demands Lin Yi Mu for the keys to it. She calls this mode of transport as a human being wrapped around metal unlike a car which is metal wrapping around a human. So, pretty much, a motorbike is dangerous and not a very protective mode of transport, and she doesn’t want him riding it.<\/p>\n
Lin Yi Mu:<\/p>\n
\u201cIf you don’t intend to date me, then don’t continue being like this and make me misunderstand your treatment towards me as having meaning.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
This kind of concern has Lin Yi Mu bring up the subject of dating and being his girlfriend. He asks her whether her being this way is because she wants to date him, whether it’s because she wants to be his girlfriend. The question is delivered in a very direct way. He was being very serious, but as if denying fact, Li Hui Zhen sees it as a joke Lin Yi Mu is playing on her again. Even as he warns her not to treat him in such a way as he will misunderstand, she doesn’t get that he isn’t playing a joke on her.<\/p>\n
Back at the office where the topic of her confessing to Bai Hao Yu comes up again, Lin Yi Mu also makes it known that he seriously hopes she won’t tell Bai Hao Yu about her real identity. She seems to connect it to being because Lin Yi Mu likes her. Whether she is starting to believe what Lin Yi Mu is saying is true is hard to say, but at least she agrees to think over it.<\/p>\n
<\/a><\/div>\n<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\nWhile Li Hui Zhen was out with Lin Yi Mu, Bai Hao Yu was out with Li Hui Zhen’s sister, Li Hui Lin. He had promised Li Hui Lin she could contact him anytime she needed something previously, and today, she wanted to eat. So, together they dined on expensive steak, salmon, salad and cake.<\/p>\n
Lin Hui Lin makes a number of comments contradicting what Bai Hao Yu believes to be her sister during their lunch. She talks about her being not pretty, about her being so kind she often gets bullied. She almost brings up the fact she works where he works when she appears to want to talk about the bullying she thinks is happening at Immortal.<\/p>\n
None of this is picked up by Bai Hao Yu, though. He doesn’t question Li Hui Lin\u2019s comment about her sister not being pretty. The comment about her sister being susceptible to bullying because her sister is do nice, Bai Hao Yu chooses to focus on the fact she is very nice as well as smart and capable so he doubts her sister would be someone who\u2019d get bullied so easily.<\/p>\n
After lunch, Li Hui Lin also gives quite a huge clue to the fact that the Li Hui Zhen he thinks is is childhood friend isn’t actually his childhood friend. Standing at the pedestrian crossing with Bai Hao Yu, Li Hui Lin calls out Li Hui Zhen’s trademark \u2018Safe!\u2019 upon seeing the lights turn green.<\/p>\n
It surprises Bai Hao Yu hearing Li Hui Lin use the call. He makes a comment about it, which has Li Hui Lin tell him it’s something her whole family does. What’s more, if she doesn’t use it, Li Hui Zhen would whack her over the head. When Bai Hao Yu mentions that it’s been a while since she\u2019s used the call, Li Hui Lin contradicts that and say she uses it everyday. Despite hearing this, Bai Hao Yu appears not to think much about it.<\/p>\n
<\/a><\/div>\n<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\nOver at the hotel, something appears to be in the works. Xia Qiao’s been getting calls from an unknown woman who\u2019s been calling and asking for Xia Qiao, but leaves no name or message when hotel staff answer the call. Xia Qiao\u2019s also won praise and a recommendation for an employee award from her superior for going out of her way to help a client with a minor task of replacing his tie which earned the hotel a significant contract with his company.<\/p>\n
<\/a><\/div>\n<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\nAnd finally, we arrive at the section where Bai Hao Yu confesses his feelings and Xia Qiao’s act being exposed. Thanks to the Editor in Chief who makes Li Hui Zhen deliver a suit to his apartment, Li Hui Zhen finds herself in Bai Hao Yu\u2019s apartment. She almost managed to avoid seeing Bai Hao Yu by having the security guard pass the suit onto him, but Bai Hao Yu happens to arrive home as she was talking to the security guard about it.<\/p>\n
<\/a><\/div>\n<\/a><\/div>\n<\/a><\/div>\n<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\nLi Hui Zhen is served tea up at his apartment\u2014which she spills from grabbing onto a cup that’s too hot. She tries cleaning it up, but Bai Hao Yu\u2019s more concerned about the hot tea spilt on her hand. Li Hui Zhen is dragged to the sink to have cold water over the hand before Bai Hao Yu takes the opportunity to continue the conversation he tried to have with her so many times already.<\/p>\n
Bai Hao Yu brings up what happened in the car. We’re not 100% sure what he’s referring to here: he just says \u201cthat day, in the car\u201d before Li Hui Zhen interrupts, but he sounds like he was going to mention something related to driving in the rain.<\/p>\n
In order to avoid discussing the matter, Li Hui Zhen claims having fallen asleep and not remembering anything in the car. It doesn’t work because Bai Hao Yu tells her he remembers everything. He then moves towards confessing his feelings, telling her how he found her appearance unpleasing to the eye at first, and that it was because of this he deemed her a messy and irresponsible person, but he later realised he was wrong. He slowly became attracted to her after this. He started noticing her and wanted to take care of her.<\/p>\n
<\/a><\/div>\n<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\nAnd then, the feelings he had been trying to express for so long, finally gets said:<\/p>\n
Bai Hao Yu:<\/p>\n
\u201cI can\u2019t control my feelings anymore. My heart is in your hands. Hui Zhen, I like you.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
Then comes the words which causes Li Hui Zhen to learn what Xia Qiao\u2019s been doing the last couple months behind her back:<\/p>\n
Bai Hao Yu:<\/p>\n
\u201cAre you willing to wait for me? With regards to love, I have to confess I’m actually not single right now. Do you still remember the childhood friend I said was very similar to you?\u201d<\/p>\n
Li Hui Zhen:<\/p>\n
“Li Hui Zhen?”<\/p>\n
Bai Hao Yu:<\/p>\n
\u201cYes. I’m currently dating her.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
Bai Hao Yu’s admission that he’s dating his childhood friend, Li Hui Zhen, has Li Hui Zhen completely confused. How can that be when she\u2019s his childhood friend?\u00a0<\/p>\n
Bai Hao Yu continues to express how he had mistaken friendship for love before mistaking Li Hui Zhen\u2019s confusion and lack of response as anger: he knows he should break up with his childhood friend before confessing and so he understands if she\u2019s angry, but he hopes she\u2019ll wait for him.<\/p>\n
<\/a><\/div>\n<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\nLi Hui Zhen tells him to stop talking, which has him explain why he’s not been able to see to that childhood friend matter. She repeats herself again before telling him how she isn’t able to concentrate on what he’s saying. She then assures him she’s fine and that she\u2019d be heading home.<\/p>\n
