{"id":3353,"date":"2014-07-31T09:49:23","date_gmt":"2014-07-30T21:49:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.juliaandtania.com\/blog\/?p=3353"},"modified":"2019-12-31T16:37:36","modified_gmt":"2019-12-31T03:37:36","slug":"prince-william-2014-episode-1-5","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.juliaandtania.com\/blog\/?p=3353","title":{"rendered":"Prince William (2014), Episode 1 &#8211; 5"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We started this <em>Prince William<\/em>, a Taiwanese drama, back in March when the first episode was released on Viki, but didn&#8217;t go back to the series until we finished <em>Rock &#8216;n&#8217; Road<\/em> (2014 Taiwanese drama starring Chris Wu and Kimi Hsia).<\/p>\n<p>The story revolves around villager, <em>Liu Wen Bin<\/em> (Xie Kun Da), who takes on the identity of a property development company CEO, <em>Yi Wei Lian<\/em> after a kidnapping causes <em>Yi Wei Lian<\/em> to lose his ability to speak. The kidnapping brings back the terrifying memories of being kidnapped as a child and being betrayed by his own mother for financial gain.<\/p>\n<p>Loving the series so far. It reminds us of <em>Substitute Princess<\/em>, (a 2013 Taiwanse drama starring Chris Wu and Nikki Hsieh), just that it is a male standing in whilst the CEO recovers. The difference so far is, there is more focus on the conflict between the villagers and the village <em>Yi Wei Lian<\/em> and his company are looking to demolish than about the romance side (which Substitute Princess focused on).<\/p>\n<p>The action so far is awesome!! The contrast between <em>Yi Wei Lian<\/em> and <em>Liu Wen Bin<\/em> isn&#8217;t far and wide, but enough that we&#8217;re liking it! Comedy is pretty good when it features, too.
