When writing the fanfiction, we had made sure that as much of it was as accurate as possible but after reading "Homecoming" by Christie Golden (released some months after the writing of "The Return"), it appears that the debriefing came in between events that differ from that of which is written in this story.

Therefore, on that part, it is inconsistent with what is said to be normal proceedings after coming home from a deep space mission. All else, we hope is consistent and the characters written are as canon as possible.
