It’s a new year, so we thought a new site design is in order! We know, it’s more than a quarter way through the year so calling the year ‘new’ isn’t quite right; but the design is definitely new. We’ve widened the dimensions of the site and chose a brighter colour palette. We figured it was probably time for another redesign to better separate the content into sections, integrate the blog into the design, and include a couple social-network-site buttons. Considering a large percentage of the Internet population is using screen resolutions higher than 1024 x 768, we felt it was time to expand territory too.

    So… What do you all think of our new site design? We would love your feedback.

    We also want to draw attention to a few updates to the content on the site. Those who read our Cardcaptor Sakura: Skin-deep story on the site, we have uploaded Skin-deep, Chapter 18. In this chapter, we’ve progressed the main characters’ relationship forward a little bit; but then added a small hurdle. Can’t have a story without hurdles. : oP : oP.

    Also related to the story, we’ve selected Chapter 8 and Chapter 10 to turn into audio recordings. So, now you can not only read the chapters; but you can listen to Skin-deep too! We initially wanted to start at Chapter 1 and Chapter 2; but before committing the earlier chapters to an audio version, we decided they probably need revisiting and editing first. We haven’t planned more chapters to be recorded in the near future: if there is a demand for future chapters to be recorded though, you might just see us do that. So, do let us know if you’ve listened to the recordings and would like us to record more! Let us know what you think of chapters 8 and 10, the audio version, too!

Have you seen any ice-cream-on-a-stick get its own individual box as packaging? Not only is it housed in a box, it has a matting! A matting, for an ice block! If you’re wondering if the ice block tastes as good as the packaging looks, we can report that it does! It’s made of creamy chocolate ice cream, gooey chocolate sauce, brownie bits, and Belgium White Chocolate pieces, all encased in a Belgium Dark Chocolate shell. It’s smooth and it’s not overly sweet. This is just luxury.

    You’re paying for luxury, too. This ice cream which is roughly 4 cm wide, 10 cm long, and 3 cm deep (so probably not much bigger than the old Sony Ericsson T610 cellphone) costs roughly NZ$2 each (and that’s because it was on sale! And we bought it as a packet of three. We’d imagine once the sale expires, you’d add a good 50c – 70c each to the price of each ice cream). We’re not sure if all this luxury is worth the hefty price, but we sure love its packaging. It’s just so beautiful!

After a bit of work, we finally got a new design up for Julia and Tania Online! If you’ve just visited it, you would have noticed a few new works up too: a couple of videos, some photos, and a couple of art pieces too.
